The Maryland Association for Colored Blind

OBJECT

The Maryland Association for Colored Blind was organized Oct. 15,
1915, for the purpose of advancing the moral, religious, social and in-
dustrial development of Colored Adult Blind and to extend to them
sympathy and brotherhood.

WHAT WE ARE DOING

1. Any blind gentleman may secure membership to the T. M. C. A.
with all the privileges free upon application.

2. Any blind lady may secure membership to the T. W. C. A. with
all privileges free upon application.

3. Secure the Medical Attention of Doctors Wheatley, Brown, Haw-
kins, Chissell and Hall at one-half price.

4. Prescriptions filled at any Colored Drug Store at one-half price.

5. All Wind persns that are unable to meet these requirements or
any part thereof, the attending Physician will make a report of the
same and the bill be paid by the Association.

6. An Annual Excursion during the month of August jointly with
the Y. M. C. A.

7. Paid the printing bill for the entertainment given at the Fourth
Regiment Armory to pay for the instruments used by the colored blind
band.

8. Important case of Mrs. Annie Brown as follows: Maryland
Workshop for Blind paid her rent, Federated Charities' gave her food
and the Maryland Ass'n for Colored Blind gave Medical attention and
Medicine...
