Herbert Y. Johnson

LESSONS IN PIANO-FORTE PLAYING, ORGAN,

ELEMENTARY THEORY AND HARMONY

1832 McCULLOH STREET, BALTIMORE, MD.

ARE YOU TALENTED IN MUSIC

Have you -wanted to impart your soul feeling
on the Violin and given up in despair

More than half of the people who have wanted to play the Violin have
given it up as something impossible. Do you know the chief difficulty is a
physical one, which according to history existed in the early days of all great
artists. Do you know that I can tell you just what your difficulties are, and
means of correcting errors physical or otherwise.

You should be taught to hold your Violin correctly, to finger accurately
and bow properly. Unless you are taught these things in the beginning you will
never play even to the satisfaction of your self.

Diagrams and self tutors will only add to your burden. Diagrams by a
competant instructor will aid you. I studied and also teach the most satisfac-
tory course, which is based on Psycho-Physiological Principals. Used in Ameri-
ca's foremost college of music. Indorsed by the late S. Coleridge Taylor.
