842 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAPTER 321.

AN ACT to prohibit the sale of spirtuous or fermented liquors
or lager beer within two miles of the public school house
known as Stony Branch School No. 7, Election District No.
5, Frederick county, Maryland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That it shall not be lawful for the Clerk of the Circuit
Court for Frederick county to issue any license to any person
or persons, or body corporate, to sell spirituous or fermented
liquors or lager beer at any place in Frederick county within
two miles of the public school house known as Stony Branch
School No. 7, Election District No. 5, Frederick county, Mary-
land.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 7, 1910.

CHAPTER 209.

AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and Council of Brunswick, in
Frederick County, to issue improvement bonds for the pur-
pose of improving the streets and alleys of said town.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and Council of Brunswick, in Frederick
county, be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to
issue bonds, in the name of said municipal corporation, to be
denominated and known as improvement bonds, to an amount
not exceeding five thousand ($5,000) dollars, in sums of not
less than one hundred dollars each, and said bonds shall be
sealed with the seal of said corporation, and signed by the
Mayor and Clerk of the Council of said town; each of said
bonds shall be payable twenty-five years after date to bearer,
redeemable, however, at the pleasure of said Mayor and Coun-
cil at any time after the expiration of ten years from their
respective dates, bearing interest at not exceeding five per cent,
per annum, payable semi-annually by the Mayor and Council
of said town, on presentation of interest coupons to be issued
with the bonds; and said bonds shall be non-taxable for mu-
nicipal and county purposes in Frederick county.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the proceeds of the sale of
said bonds, none of which shall be sold below par, shall be
applied to the improvement of the streets and alleys of said
town; provided, that the question of issuing said bonds shall.
