ARTICLE X.
ATTORNEYS AT LAW AND ATTORNEYS IN FACT.
CHAPTER 608.
AN ACT to repeal Section 1 of Article 10 of the Code Public
General Laws of Maryland, title "Attorneys at Law and
Attorneys in Fact," as enacted by Chapter 638 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland at the January Ses-
sion of 1908, and to re-enact the same with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 1 of Article 10 of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws of Maryland, title "Attorneys at Law and Attor-
neys in Fact," as amended by Chapter 638 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland at the January Session
of 1908, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments so as to read as follows:
No person shall practice the profession or perform the ser-
vices of an attorney at law within this State without being
admitted to the bar as hereinafter directed; and any person
who shall give legal advice, represent any person in the trial
of any case at law or in equity or prepare any written in-
strument affecting the title to real estate, for pay or reward,
shall be deemed an attorney at law for purposes of this
Article; provided, however, that this Section shall not apply
to Carroll County and Worcester County, Garrett County, so
far as it relates to the preparation of written instruments
affecting the title to real estate for pay or reward.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

ARTICLE XL
BANKS AND TRUST COMPANIES.
CHAPTER 219.
AN ACT to repeal all of Article 11, title "Banks," and to re-
peal Sections 318, 319, 320 and 321, subtitle "Savings Insti-
tutions," of Article 23, title "Corporations," and also to
repeal Sections 94, 95, 96, 97, 100, 101 and 104, subtitle
"General Regulations," of said Article 23, so far as said
last named sections relate to Trust Companies, of the Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland of 1904, and to enact
in lieu thereof a new Article, to be known as Article 11 of
said Code of Public General Laws of 1904, and entitled
