SEC. 32Z2. Whenever any State road crosses the grade of
the line of any railroad worked by steam or other power, the
State Roads Commission shall have the power to contract with
such railroad for the construction of any bridge, archway, or
culvert that may be needed for the purpose of any over-grade
or under-grade crossing; and to provide by contract or other-
wise for the maintenance thereof. Provided, that one-half of
the construction cost of such bridge, archway, culvert or road-
bed shall be paid for by the railroad and one-half by the State
Roads Commission.

SEC. 32z3. For the purpose of building and constructing or
maintaining any roads, bridges and highways under the pro-
visions of this Act, or for the purpose of working in any stone
quarry operated by said Commission, the said Commission is
hereby authorized to make requisitions on the directors of the
Maryland House of Correction for as many inmates thereof as
may be necessary for said purpose; and the said directors are
hereby directed to furnish the same with such guards or keep-
ers as can be spared from their duties at the said House of Cor-
rection ; and any additional guards or keepers necessary for the
safe keeping of said inmates shall be furnished and appointed
by said commission.

The said Commission shall in conjunction with the afore-
said Board of Directors of the House of Correction provide
for the maintenance and safe keeping of said inmates of the
House of Correction while so employed.

SEC. 32z4. In addition thereto, but not in substitution for
the methods of condemnation provided in the preceding Sec-
tions of this Act and for the purpose of further defining the
same, it is hereby provided: (A) All condemnation proceed-
ings under this Act shall be in the name of the State of Mary-
land. (B) Proceedings for the condemnation of any bridge over
any stream or river dividing two counties may be begun or
completed in either of said counties.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Roads Commission by Chapter 141 of the Acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland of 1908, and any Act or Acts sup-
plemental thereto, by adding three additional sections to Ar-
ticle 91 of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title
