bed or beds, which the Board of Shell Fish Commissioners
may then be engaged in re-shelling.
123. For the purpose of discharging the duties imposed
upon them by this Act, the Board of Shell Fish Commission-
ers shall have the same control and direction and to the same
extent over the State Fishery Force, as is given to the said
Board of Shell Fish Commissioners by Section 97 of this Arti-
cle for the purpose of performing the duties imposed upon the
Board of Shell Fish Commissioners by Chapter 711 of the
Acts of 1906.
124. The said Board of Shell Fish Commissioners shall in
no case contract any obligation or incur any indebtedness in
excess of money at the time of the incurring of said obliga-
tion or contracting of said debt, in the State Treasury to the
credit of the Natural Oyster Re-Shelling Fund.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 401.
AN ACT to repeal Sections 85 and 86 of Chapter 711 of the
Acts of 1906, entitled "An Act to establish and promote the
industry of oyster culture in Maryland, to define and mark
natural oyster beds, bars and rocks, lying under the waters
of this State, to prescribe penalties for the infringement of
the provisions of this Act, and to add new sections to Article
72 of the Code of Public General Laws, to follow Section 82
and to be designated, respectively, as Sections 83, 84, 85, 86,
87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, 98, 99, 100, 101, 102,
103, 104, 105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 111, 112, 113, 114, 115,
116, 117, 118 and 119, and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 85 and 86 of Chapter 711 of the Acts of
1906, be and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted, so
as to read as follows:
SEC. 85. The Commissioners shall keep at its office in the
city of Baltimore, books of record, in which shall be recorded
all leases, assignments and other conveyances of land to be
used for the planting or cultivation of oysters in accordance
with this Act. A set of clear and "simple forms for all subse-
quent conveyances of any kind shall be prepared by the board,
with the advice of the Attorney-General, and no title shall be
vested in any lessee or transferee of any interest or estate ac-
quired under this Act until the conveyance or conveyances evi-
