PRIVATE ACTS. 1435

in said county or any city or town therein, within the limits
aforesaid, for the purpose aforesaid, so, however, as not to
prevent the free and convenient travel over such public road,
street or highway by any citizen; and provided further, that
the said corporation shall keep the county road or public
streets occupied by them in good order between their tracks
and for two feet on each side thereof; provided, that in all
cases where highways, roads, streets or other public properties
are to be used, permission be first obtained from the County
Commissioners or a majority thereof, as the case may be, the
Town Commissioners, or a majority thereof, as the case may be.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 201.

AN ACT permitting and giving the right to the Washington
and Berkeley Bridge Company, a corporation duly incor-
porated under the laws of West Virginia, to build a bridge
across the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal at or nead the town
of Williamsport, Maryland, subject to such clearances as-
agreed upon between the said canal company and the said
bridge company.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Washington and Berkeley Company, a corpora-
tion duly incorporated under the laws of West Virginia, is
hereby empowered and permitted to build a bridge across the
Chesapeake and Ohio Canal at or near the town of Williams-
port, Maryland, subject to such clearances as agreed upon by
and between the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Company and the
Washington and Berkeley Bridge Company; and

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from the
date of its passage.

CHAPTER 185.

AN ACT to incorporate the Maryland Real Estate Title Com-
pany.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That C. A. M. Wells, Edward Daniels, Richard N. Ryon,
Robert W. Wells, Charles C. Mayer and C. Francis Owens and
the subscribers to the stock of the corporation hereby created,
and their successors and assigns, are created a body corporate
