mined by the laws of the State in force at the time the said
liabilities may attach; and further provided, that said company
shall not be subject to Article 3, Section 25, of said Article 11;
and further provided, that said company shall not be subject
to Section 22 of said Article 11.

SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 128.

AN ACT to amend the charter of the Belair Electric Company
and to enlarge its powers.

Whereas, the Belair Electric Company, of Harford County,
is a corporation duly chartered under the General Laws of
Maryland for the purpose inter alia of supplying electric light
and power to the public in this State, as by reference to its
charter in the Circuit Court for Harford County, in Corpora-
tion Book W. S. F., No. 3, folio 50, will more fully appear,
and has been engaged in so doing in Harford County for the
past seven years and in Baltimore County for the past three
years, and is desirous of enlarging its plant and extending
its transmission lines; therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Belair Electric Company, of Harford County,
shall be hereafter known as the Belair Electric Company, and
may issue bonds, to be secured by a mortgage upon any and all
of its real estate, water rights, easements, property or fran-
chises to any amount not exceeding the sum of one hundred
thousand dollars upon its present capitalization.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said company
is hereby authorized to acquire by condemnation in the same
manner as either railroads or any other corporations are now
or may hereafter be authorized to do under the General Laws
of this State, and any and all lands, rights and other property
of every description which, in the judgment of said company,
may be required by it for the discharge of its duties as a public
service corporation and which may be within the watershed of
Winter's Run in said Harford County.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take-
effect from the date of its passage.
