and at such place or places, from time to time, as is provided
in the General Incorporation Laws of the State of Maryland.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That said company, within the
scope of the full and perfect enjoyment of the purposes and
powers hereinbefore mentioned, shall have and enjoy, in addi-
tion to the powers and privileges in this Atct particularly con-
ferred and enumerated all other powers and privileges con-
ferred upon corporations incorporated under the laws of the
State of Maryland under the provisions of Article 23 of the
Code of Public General Laws of State, and of all amendments
or additions thereto and thereof, and generally to have and
enjoy all other general powers and privileges which are con-
ferred by the General Incorporation Laws of this State upon
corporations, and particularly the right to acquire property
by condemnation in the mode prescribed by Article 23 of the
Code of Public General Laws, and all amendments or addi-
tions thereto and thereof, as aforesaid.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 362.

AN ACT to amend the charter of the Mount Airy Savings
Bank, located at Mount Airy, Carroll county, Maryland, so
that said bank in addition to the powers it now possesses
may do a general banking business.

Whereas, The Mount Airy Saving Bank, located at Mount Airy.
in Carroll county, Maryland, has been duly incorporated
under the Public General Laws of Maryland, the certificate
of incorporation whereof has been duly approved and is now
of record in Liber B. S., No. 1, folio 45 and 46, one of the
Charter Records in the office of the State Tax Commissioner
of Maryland, and also Liber D. P. S., No. 22, folio 233, etc.,
of the Chattel Records of Carroll county aforesaid;

Whereas, It is desirable that the right of the said bank to do a
general banking business, in addition to the powers con-
ferred upon it by its said charter, should be confirmed by a
legislative enactment; therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mount Airy Savings Bank, located at Mount
Airy, Carroll county, Maryland, be and it is hereby empowered
to do a general banking business, and as such to have power to
borrow money, receive money on deposit and pay interest there-
on or not, according to such rules and regulations as it may
lay down; to lend money and to discount, according to banking
