1206 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That if any person shall take
oysters with rakes or tongs, for sale, without having first ob-
tained a license as required by the preceding sections, he shall,
upon conviction thereof before a Justice of the Peace for the
county wherein the offense has been committed, be fined not
less than twenty nor more than one hundred dollars, and stand
committed to the county jail until all costs and fines are paid;
and the boat or vessel used in such violation shall be forfeited,
but shall be released upon the payment of not less than twenty-
five dollars nor more than one hundred dollars, and costs and
expenses, for each and every violation of the preceding sec-
tions. All persons taking or catching oysters under the provi-
sions of this Article shall exhibit their authority for so doing
when required by any officer of the Oyster Police Force or any
other officer of the State.

CHAPTER 396.

AN ACT to repeal Sections 1 to 28, inclusive, of Article 24 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Worcester
County," subtitle "Almshouse," and all amendments thereto,
and to re-enact Sections 1 to 5 thereof, inclusive, with amend-
ments, so far as to vest complete control and power over
the Almshouse property and its management in the County
Commissioners of Worcester County, and to vest the title to
and control of all real, personal and mixed property now in
"The Trustees of the Poor of Worcester County" in the said
County Commissioners of Worcester County, and to repeal
all Acts or parts of Acts inconsistent herewith.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 1 to 28, inclusive, of Article 24 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, 1888, title "Worcester
County," subtitle "Almshouse," and all amendments and sup-
plements thereto, be and the same are hereby repealed, and
from Sections 1 to 5, inclusive, re-enacted so as to read as
follows:

1. The title to and control of all real, personal and mixed
property of every character and description which has hereto-
fore been in the said "The Trustees of the Poor of Worcester
County" shall by virtue hereof vest in the County Commis-
sioners of Worcester County, a corporate body, and the said
County Commissioners pf Worcester County shall hereafter
have complete control, supervision and management of all
said property and of all matters which have heretofore been
