ber of ballots cast marked "Against Proposed Proposition," the
said grant, franchise or contract shall thereby be ratified and
confirmed; if at any such election the number of ballots cast
marked "Against Proposed Proposition" shall exceed the num-
ber of ballots cast marked "For Proposed Proposition," the
said grant, franchise or contract shall thereby be rejected and
void. Such election shall be conducted in the same manner as
that now provided for the election of Burgess and Commission-
ers, where not inconsistent with this section.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all Acts or' parts of Acts
inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 63.
AN ACT to repeal Chapter 663 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland passed at the Session of 1908, entitled
"An Act to Provide for the Creation by Popular Vote of Anti-
Saloon Territory Within Washington County, Within which
Territory, Except as Herein Provided, the Sale of Intoxicat-
ing Liquor and the Licensing of Such Sale Shall Be Prohib-
ited ; for the Enforcement of Such Prohibition in Such Terri-
tory, and for the Abolition by Like Means of the Territory
so Created."
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter 663 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland passed at the Session of 1908, entitled "An Act to
Provide for the Creation by Popular Vote of Anti-Saloon Terri-
tory Within Washington County, Within which Territory, Ex-
cept as Herein Provided, the Sale of Intoxicating Liquor and
the Licensing of Such Sale Shall Be Prohibited; for the En-
forcement of Such Prohibition in Such Territory, and for the
Abolition by Like Means of the Territory so Created," be and
the same is hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
