SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 11, 1910.

CHAPTER 613.

AN ACT to refund to David Pritchard and Jerry Valliant, of
Talbot County, the sum of money paid by them to the Clerk
of the Circuit Court for Talbot County for a license to scrape
for oysters within the waters of said county in the sloop
"Cygnet," and which said license has never been used.

Whereas, David Pritchard and Jerry Valliant on or about
the 28th day of November, 1909, secured from Francis G.
Wrightson, Clerk of the Circuit Court for 'Talbot County,
license No. 28 for the sloop "Cygnet," to scrape for oysters
within tEe waters of Talbot County during the season begin-
ning November 1st, 1909, and ending March 15, 1910, paying
therefor to the said Clerk of the Circuit Court for Talbot
"County the sum of $14.80, which said sum has since been paid
over, as provided by law, to the County Commissioners;

And Whereas, Said sloop "Cygnet" was wrecked and made
a total loss soon after said license was issued and before any

oysters could be taken in her during the aforesaid oyster-
scraping season;

And Whereas, Said license has been of no value to the par-
ties to whom same was issued; therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Talbot County be and
they are hereby authorized and directed to pay over and refund
to said David Pritchard and Jerry Valliant the said sum of
$14.80, the same being the amount paid by them as aforesaid
for scraping license, which license (on account of the wrecking

of the sloop "Cygnet") could not be and has never been used
for that purpose.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
