information of anyone, arrest any person or persons violating
the provisions of this Article and take them before the nearest
justice of the peace having jurisdiction, to be dealt with accord-
ing to the provisions of Sections 115A and 115F.

SEC. 115i. It shall not be lawful for any but citizens and
residents who have resided in Talbot County for twelve months
to take or catch crabs with scoops, scrapes or trot lines in the
tributaries of Great Choptank river lying solely in Talbot
County.

SEC. 116. Any person violating the provisions of the preced-
ing section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall,
on conviction thereof, be fined the sum of twenty-five dollars for
each and every offense, and shall stand committed to the county
jail until fine and costs are paid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall not be con-
strued so as to affect any prosecution for violation of this
Article or any section thereof for offenses committed prior to
the passage of this Act, and all Acts and parts of Acts incon-
sistent with this Act are hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 742.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 146
of Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Talbot
County, subtitle "Oxford," as repealed and re-enacted in
Chapter 492 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land passed at the January Session thereof in the year 1908.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 146 of Article 21 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Talbot County, subtitle "Oxford," as repealed and re-
enacted by Chapter 492 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland passed at the January Session thereof in the year
1908, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to
read as follows:

146. The Commissioners of Oxford shall appoint annually
one or more persons to perform the duties of bailiff, who shall
be eligible to the office of collector of taxes within the limits
of the said town and who shall take an oath before acting as
bailiff before some justice of the peace of Talbot County to
faithfully perform his duties without favor, affection or par-
tiality, according to the best of his skill and judgment, and
