of money as shall, in their discretion, be necessary for the
prompt payment of the interest on said bonds and the principal
thereof when the same shall become due; which said sum or
sums thus levied shall be strictly applied to the payment of
said interest and to the redemption of said bonds as the same
shall mature, and to no other debts or obligations of said
county.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 579.

AN ACT to add an additional section to Article 18 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Queen Anne's
County," to be known as Section 208B, under the new
subtitle of "Fraud on Livery Stable Keepers," providing for
a lien on the horse or other animal or vehicle fed, sheltered
or furnished accommodation by the proprietor or keeper of
such livery stable, and the enforcement of the same.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the following additional section be and the same
is hereby added to Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Queen Anne's County," under the new
subtitle "Fraud on Livery Stable Keepers," to come in after
Section 208A and to be known as Section 208e.

208B. For the price or value of feed, shelter or accommoda-
tion furnished to any horse or other animal or vehicle of any
kind, at any livery stable, boarding or hiring stable in Queen
Anne's County, the proprietor or keeper of such livery stable,
hiring or boarding stable shall have a lien upon the said
horse or other animal or vehicle for which he has furnished the
feed, shelter or accommodation in his stable, and may keep
possession of the said horse or other animal or vehicle until the
price or value of such feefl or shelter or accommodation shall
have been fully paid, and for the purpose of collecting the said
debt he may sell such horse or other animal or vehicle for cash
at public sale, upon giving notice of the time, place and terms
of sale by hand-bills posted up in at least five public places
near the said stable, and by advertisement published at least
twice in at least one newspaper published in the said county
wherein the said livery, boarding or hiring stable is situated,
the first publication to be not less than ten days before such
sale, and the proceeds of the sale to be applied after payment
