ballots shall be prepared, having printed on them "For the Act
to Improve the Streets," and "Against the Act to Improve the
Streets." If at the said election the majority of the votes cast
shall be "For the Act to Improve the Streets," then and in
that event the Act shall have full force and effect, or if, on the
contrary, the majority of the votes cast shall be "Against the
Act to Improve the Streets," then this Act shall be null and
void.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all Acts or parts of Acts
inconsistent with this Act be, and the same are hereby re-
pealed, so far as the same affect the purposes of this Act, ex-
cept that Section 21 of Chapter 79 of the Acts of 1908, shall
remain in full force and effect, as to all work begun or con-
tracts entered into under said section prior to the passage of
this Act and for no other purpose; provided, that if at the
special election above directed to be held, the majority of the
votes cast shall be "Against the Act to Improve the Streets,"
said Section 21 shall remain in full force and effect.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted., That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 87.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the Clerk of the Circuit Court
for Prince George's county to make and maintain a General
Index of all causes appearing upon the equity docket of said
county of which may hereafter be brought in said court
while setting as a Court of Equity; to provide and maintain
a general index of all judgments rendered by Justices of the
Peace, now or hereafter to be recorded in the Clerk's office
in said county; a general index of all executions appearing;
on the judicial docket or hereafter entered in said docket in
the said Clerk's office; a docket and general index of all
attachments now existing or which may hereafter be filed in
the said Clerk's office; and a general index of all tax sales
made and reported by the Treasurer of said county, and to
provide compensation for the same.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Prince George's
county be and he is hereby directed to make or cause to be
made a general index of all causes appearing upon the equity
docket of said county, beginning with the earliest causes of
said docket, said general index to be made upon the same plan
and in similar books as now used an said Clerk's office for gen-
