the same in one newspaper, If there be two, a detailed, minute
and accurate statement of the expenses of their said counties,
specifying therein each particular item of expense, and for
what and to whom paid, and shall also deliver to the sheriff of
their respective counties as many copies of such statement as
there are election districts in the county, at least ten days be-
fore each general election; and the sheriff shall within six days
after the receipt of such copies set up one of them at the place
of holding elections in each election district; and the clerk to
the County Commissioners and the sheriff who shall fail to
perform the duty imposed by this section shall each forfeit the
sum of one hundred dollars. Provided that the County Com-
missioners of St. Mary's County shall not expend more than
twelve hundred dollars ($1200) in any one year for publish-
ing the notices required by this section, and the publication of
the notices of the Supervisors of Elections relative to elections,
registration, etc.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted,, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1918.

CHAPTER 468.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections
44, 46, 47 and 56 of Article 99 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (Bagby's Edition), title "Wild Fowl—Birds and
Game," sub-title "Game Warden," and to repeal Sections 38
and 51 of said Article 99, and also to add five new sections
to said Article 99, to follow Section 66 of said Article, and
to be known as Sections 67, 68, 69, 70 and 71, and to fur-
ther protect the game of the State and to provide a fund by
means of an annual shooting license for the payment of the
expenses of protecting and propagating game and the com-
pensation and expenses of the State Game Warden and the
Deputy Game Wardens.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 44, 46, 47 and 56 of Article 99 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (Bagby's Edition), title
"Wild Fowl—Birds and Game," sub-title "Game Warden,"
be and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted with
amendments so as to read as follows:
