son when brought before any justice naving jurisdiction of the
case, shall before trial for the alleged offense pray a jury trial
or if the State's Attorney for said county shall before trial of
such alleged offender pray a jury trial on the part of the State,
it shall be the duty of such justice to commit such alleged
offender for trial or to hold him to bail to appear for trial in
the Circuit Court for Calvert County if it be in session or at
its next session if it be not in session and return said commit-
ment or recognizance with the names and residences of the
witnesses for the prosecution endorsed thereon forthwith to the
clerk of the said court and the justice before whom the case is
brought shall in every such case inform the person charged of
his right to pray a jury trial.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 419.
AN ACT to add a new and additional section to Article 23 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Corporations," to be
known as Section 88-1, said section to follow Section 88-H
thereof, and providing for suits by and against unincor-
porated associations or organizations, and the manner in
which the process may be served.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
a new and additional section be, and the same is hereby added
to Article 23 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Cor-
porations," to be known as Section 88-I, said section to follow
Section 88-H thereof, and to read as follows:
88-I. Any unincoporated association or organization, con-
sisting of seven or more persons and having a recognized group
name, may sue or be sued by such name in any action affect-
ing the common property, rights and liabilities of such associ-
ation or organization; all process, pleadings and other papers
in such action may be served on any president, director, man-
ager, agent or person in charge of the affairs of such associ-
ation or organization, and if none reside in this State, such
association or organization may be proceeded against by at-
tachment as a non-resident, or such process may be served on
any agent or other person in the service of the association or
