this Act, by calling an election on the first Monday of May,.

1918. when the qualified voters may assemble and vote as
herein provided. The said appointed judges giving at least
ten (10) days' notice of such time and place of the said elec-
tion and the ballot to be cast at said election shall have printed
thereon "For Incorporation" and "Against Incorporation"
and if a majority of the said voters shall vote in favor of in-
corporation then the provisions of this Act shall take effect
and the election of officers of said town as herein provided
shall then be held, but if a majority of the said voters shall
vote against incorporation then this Act shall be null and void
for a period of one year or until the first Monday of May,.

1919. when the qualified voters may assemble and vote again
upon the said question of incorporation as herein provided.
The said appointed judges giving at least ten (10) days' notice
of such time and place of said election and at such second
election should the majority of the voters vote against incor-
poration, then this Act shall become null and void, but if a
majority shall vote in favor of such incorporation then this-
Act shall be in full force and effect and the provisions for the
election of the Mayor, Clerk and Commissioners shall be
promptly carried out as herein provided.

SEC. 17. And be it further enacted, That this is an emer-
gency measure, required for the public health and safety and
that this Act shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 329.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Burgess and Council

of Myersville, a municipal corporation of the State of Mary-
land, to construct, establish and , maintain a water supply
system, for the town of Myersville, in Frederick County,
Maryland, and for that purpose, to acquire by purchase,
lease, gift or by condemnation in the manner now prescribed
by law, any and all lands or any interests therein, deemed
necessary; to issue and sell the bonds of said town to an
amount not exceeding sixteen thousand ($16,000.00) dol-
lars, to pay for same; to levy and collect taxes on the assess-
able property in said town for the redemption and payment
of said bonds and the interest thereon; with a proviso that
said bonds shall not be issued unless sanctioned by a ma-
