CHAPTER 291.
AN ACT authorizing and directing the Board of Election
Supervisors of Montgomery County to create four voting
precincts in the Thirteenth Election District of Montgomery
County and to fix the boundaries thereof; designating the
voting place in said precincts; and providing for the ap-
pointment of officers of registration of voters, as well also
as all other necessary election officials as now provided for
by law.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of Election Supervisors of Montgomery
County be and they are hereby authorized and directed to
create four voting precincts in the Thirteenth Election District
of Montgomery County and to fix by proclamation the boun-
daries thereof.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the voting place,
or polls, in one of said precincts, as so established, shall be in
the Town of Kensington; that the voting place in another of
said precincts, as so established, shall be at Wheaton; that the
voting place, or polls, in another of said precincts, as so estab-
lished, shall be at Silver Spring; that the voting place, or polls,
in the other said precinct, as so established, shall be in the
Town of Takoma Park, Maryland.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the Board of Elec-
tion Supervisors for Montgomery County be and they are here-
by authorized and directed to appoint for said new election
precincts, in said Thirteenth Election District of Montgomery
County, all officers of registration of voters, judges, clerks,
door-keepers, for election purposes, as they may be authorized
by law to appoint for each voting precinct in said County of
Montgomery, and also to do whatever else within the scope of
their authority it may be necessary to be done to carry out the
objects and purposes of this Act.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the registration
officers of said election precincts shall make out and prepare
new lists of voters for said precincts, enter the same on books
for that purpose, and publish said list, in the manner now pre-
scribed by law, and shall sit, in the manner prescribed by law,
for the purpose, from time to time thereafter, to add to, or
strike off, the names of voters from said list as first prepared
by them.
