CHAPTER 45.

AN ACT to authorize the Governor to appoint ten additional
Notaries Public for Harford County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Governor by and with the advice and consent
of the Senate be and is hereby authorized to appoint and com-
mission ten Notaries Public for Harford County, in addition
to the number now allowed by law, five of whom may be
females.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this is an emergency Act
necessary for the safety of the public and as such is to take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved April 2nd, 1918.

CHAPTER 46.

AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commissioners
of Harford County to levy annually a sum of money for the
support of William Glenn and Isaac Morrison.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Harford County
be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to levy annu-
ally for the support of William Glenn and Isaac Morrison the
sum of One Hundred Dollars each.

Approved April 2nd, 1918.

CHAPTER 47.

AN ACT to amend Article 21 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Talbot County, " sub-title "St.
Michaels, " by repealing Section 196B and re-enacting the
same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 196B of Article 21 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland, title "Talbot County, " sub-title "St.
Michaels, " as passed by Chapter 239 of Acts' of Assembly of
1908, be, and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted to read
as follows:
