SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the provisions of
Section 1 hereof shall not become operative in said Chevy Chase,
Norwood and Christ Church Parishes, Montgomery county,
Maryland, until the same have been submitted lo and approved
by the convention of the Pnotestant Church of the Diocese of
Washington, of which diocese each of said parishes is a part.

Approved April 18th, 1918.

CHAPTER 260.

AN ACT to Amend the Charter of the M'Kim School incorpor-
ated by the General Assembly of Maryland December Ses-
sion 1820.

WHEREAS, In Section 3 of an Act to incorporate the trustees
of M 'Kim School in the City of Baltimore, passed at the Decem-
ber Session 1820, it is provided that the trustees for said M'Kim
School and their successors shall be selected "from, among the
Society of Friends, or of those professing their religious prin-
ciples, who meet or assemble for public worship in the Meeting
House on the eastern side of Jones's Palls," and,

WHEREAS, The congregation of said Meeting House contem-
plates a sale of said Meeting House and uniting with the con-
gregation of the Baltimore Monthly Meeting of Friends, Park
Avenue, held at Park Avenue and Laurens Street in Baltimore
City, now therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 3 of an Act to incorporate the trustees of
M'Kim School in the City of Baltimore passed in the December
Session 1820, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as
to read as follows:

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That in case of a vacancy hap-
pening among the said trustees by death, resignation, refusal to
act, removal from the City of Baltimore, and by ceasing to
frequent the Meeting House on the east side of Jones's Falls, or
at Park Avenue and Laurens Street in Baltimore City, as a
place of public worship, the said trustees shall, as soon there-
after as shall seem proper, proceed to fill such vacancy from
among the Society of Friends, or of those professing their re-
ligious principles, who meet or assemble for public worship, in
the Meeting House on the eastern side of Jones's Falls, or at Park
