ceeds of said special tax shall be kept separate from the other
funds of said municipal corporation and shall be used for the
payment of the aforesaid outstanding notes and intertst as
aforesaid, and for no other purpose whatsoever.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the first day of June, nineteen hundred and eighteen.

CHAPTER 192.

AN ACT to amend Article 18 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of the State of Maryland, title "Queen Annes County," sub-
title '' Sudlersville," by adding two new sections thereto to
come in after Section 249 and to be designated as Section
249A and Section 249B, respectively, and to repeal all laws
inconsistent therewith.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the following additional sections be and the same are
hereby added to the Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Queen Annes County," sub-title "Sudlersville," to immediately
follow Section 249 and to be known as Section 249A and 249B,
respectively, and to read as follows :

SEC. 249A. In addition to the power conferred upon the
Commisioners of Sudlersville by laws heretofore passed, The
Commissioners of Sudlersville shall have full power to contract
with any firm, corporation, individual, or group of individuals
for such period of time as the Commissioners of Sudlersville may
by ordinance provide, for the introduction in the town of Sud-
lersville of water pipes, mains, pumping stations and reservoirs,
for the use of the said corporation, its streets and alleys, and for
the use of the residents of said town of Sudlersville, and by ordi-
nance to grant franchises to any such firms, corporations, indi-
viduals, or groups of individuals to lay water pipes or mains,
erect pumping stations and reservoirs for the purpose of sup-
plying said municipal corporation or the residents of the town
of Sudlersville water; and the ordinances or contracts granting
such franchise or franchises shall specifically set out the nature,
right and character of same, and no power or right not expressed
in the franchise or grant shall pass thereunder.

SEC. 249B. That the Commissioners of Sudlersville shall have
full power to regulate the laying, erecting, installation and use
