Council a copy of the alphabetical list of qualified registered
voters and of those rejected as voters at the approaching elec-
tion, for public inspection and any person so registered may be
challenged on the following day although not challenged at the
time of registration, before the Mayor and Council, provided
notice thereof is given to the party whose qualifications are to
be challenged, at any time before twelve o'clock on said ap-
peal day.

Any person who shall wilfully swear falsely before such reg-
istrar, in order to procure his name or that of any other per-
son to be removed from or placed on the registration list, shall be
guilty of the crime of perjury and shall be liable to presentment
and indictment therefor, in the Circuit Court for Somerset
County, and on conviction thereof shall be fined not less than
one hundred dollars, or be confined in the penitentiary of the
State for not exceeding one year, or be both fined and impris-
oned, in the discretion of the court, and he shall be forever
thereafter disqualified from holding any office of profit or trust
created under this Article and from voting at any election in
said City.

SEC. 58-1/2. All voting at municipal elections shall be upon
official ballots printed upon plain white paper and of uniform
size prepared and furnished to the Judges of election by the
Mayor and Council for that purpose and to no other person. On
all of said ballots shall appear the name of each and every office
to be filled at said election, plainly printed, in black ink and in
proper order of succession, and if there be more than one Coun-
cilman to be voted for the name of the Councilman whose term
is about to end and the number of years for which his successor
is to hold office.

Under the name of each and every office shall be plainly
printed, in black ink, a direction to the voter, "Vote for one,
vote for two or three, by making a cross (X) mark in that square
which is opposite the name of the candidate to be voted for, "
after which shall be printed plainly in black ink the names of
all candidates for that office, with a light black line drawn below
the name of each candidate—————————————and
extending to a square or parallelogram opposite and near the
"border of the paper, for the guidance of the voter. Immedi-
ately below all the names of candidates, entitled to be printed on
said ballot, there shall be printed a light black line extending
from one border of the ballot to the other, with a square or a
parallelogram at the furthest border, on which the voter may
