to that end said Maryland Tuberculosis Sanatorium shall have
power to accept and acquire by purchase, gift or lease, land, or
lands, suitable as sites for sanatoria for the reception, care,
and maintenance of said tubercular colored patients, and to
erect and equip necessary buildings thereon; and where and
when advantageous, to agree and arrange with existing hos-
pitals, and with hospitals hereafter organized and built, for
the establishment of suitable buildings, wards or other appro-
priate facilities for the reception and treatment of such tu-
bercular colored patients, and their care and maintenance in
this State, subject to the supervision of the said Board of Man-
agers of the Maryland Tuberculosis Sanatorium, and under
such terms and conditions as said Board shall deem wise; and
by purchase, gift or lease to acquire any existing hospital or
hospitals, and parts thereof, with its or their furnishings, ap-
paratus and equipment, as may be desirable, and reasonably
suited to the maintenance, care and treatment of said tuber-
cular colored patients.
SEC. 2 And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from and after the first day of June, 1918.

CHAPTER 149.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section 1 of
Chapter 13 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land of the Session of 1894, entitled "An Act to amend the
Corporation of the Roman Catholic Clergyman, a Corpora-
tion duly incorporated by the General Assembly of Maryland
by the Act of seventeen hundred and ninety-two, Chapter 55,
and its supplements, the Act of eighteen hundred and five,
Chapter 118, and the Act of eighteen hundred and eight,
Chapter 37, and to amend and enlarge the powers of said
Corporation and to provide for the government of said Cor-
poration, and to authorize said Corporation to take, receive and
hold by purchase, gift, lease, devise, bequest, legacy or in
any other manner, any real or personal property, and the
same to alien, sell, transfer, mortgage, grant or convey, and to
explicitly authorize the said Corporation to alien, sell, trans-
fer, grant or convey any property, real or personal, acquired
by it under the said Act of eighteen hundred and five, Chap-
ter 118, and said Act of eighteen hundred and eight, Chapter
