WHEREAS, It is desirable to continue the corporation under
the charter aforesaid, and to ratify and confirm all acts done
by it as if said charter had never expired. —
Now, therefore, be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That all acts done by The Sisters of the Third Order
of Saint Francis in furtherance of the purpose for which they
were incorporated from the time of the expiration of the char-
ter, recorded on November 29, 1870, in Charter Record G. R.
No. 16, folio 345, of Baltimore City, to the time this Act takes
effect, be and the same are hereby ratified and confirmed to the
same effect as if said charter had never expired.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That The Sisters of the
Third Order of Saint Francis shall hereafter have and enjoy all
the rights and privileges given by said charter, and shall, in
addition, have perpetual succession, and shall have all the
rights and privileges and be subject to the same liabilities as if
incorporated under the present general incorporation laws of
the State.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the name of the
hospital maintained by The Sisters of the Third Order of Saint
Francis, in the City of Baltimore, is hereby changed from St.
Joseph's German Hospital to St. Joseph's Hospital.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the charter of The
Sisters of the Third Order of Saint Francis, recorded in Char-
ter Record G. R. No. 16, folio 345, of Baltimore City, be and
the same is hereby amended so as to change the name of the
corporation to The Sisters of the Third Order of Saint Francis,
Philadelphia Foundation, of St. Joseph's Hospital, Baltimore,
Md.
SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from and after June 1, 1918.

AN ACT to authorize, empower and direct the County Commis-
sioners of Anne Arundel County, in the State of Maryland,
to build, erect and maintain a draw bridge over South River,
in the Second Election District of said County, from the west
