automobile, whether the same is in motion or at rest, or hurl
stones or other missiles at the same, or at the occupants thereof,
or while such motor vehicle is at rest or unattended, sound any
horn or other signalling device or attempt to manipulate any
of the levers, starting crank, brakes or machinery thereof, or
set said vehicle in motion, or otherwise damage, tamper or
interfere with the same. Any person violating any provision
of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and
subject upon conviction to a fine of not less than five dollars
($5. 00) nor more than twenty-five dollars ($25. 00) for the
first offense.
THROWING TACKS, NAILS, GLASS, ETC., ON
HIGHWAYS.
155. No person shall throw or place, or cause to be thrown
or placed, on or upon any highway or bridge, any tacks, nails,
wire, scrap metal, glass, crockery or other substance injurious
to the feet of persons or animals, or to the tires or wheels of
vehicles, including motor vehicles. Any person violating any
provision of this section shall be deemed guilty of a misde-
meanor and subject upon conviction to a fine of not less than
ten dollars ($10. 00) nor more than one hundred dollars
($100. 00), or imprisonment for not less than ten days nor more
than thirty days, or to both fine and imprisonment.
UNAUTHORIZED USE OF MOTOR
VEHICLES.
156. No chauffeur or other person shall drive or operate
any motor vehicle upon any street or highway of this State in
the absence of the owner of such motor vehicle without his con-
sent. Any person violating any provision of this section shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and subject upon convic-
tion to a fine of not less than twenty-five dollars ($25. 00), nor
more than one hundred dollars ($100. 00) or imprisonment
for not less than 30 days nor more than one year, or both fine
and imprisonment for the first offense.
