said sections and laws may be inconsistent with the pro-
visions of this Act," and also to repeal chapter 567 of the
Acts of 1902, entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments section 282 of article 17 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title 'Prince George's County,' sub-title 'Roads,'
as amended by the Acts of 1900, chapter 346," and also to
repeal chapter 591 of the Acts of 1904, entitled "An Act
to repeal sections 281, 294c and 294o of article 17 of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title 'Prince George's County,'
sub-title 'Roads,' and to repeal and re-enact with amend-
ments 279, 280, 285, 287, 288, 291, 293, 294, 294D and 294B
of said article, and to add a new section thereto, and to
immediately follow section 282, to be designated as section
282A, and to enact certain sections as a part of article 17
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title 'Prince George's
County,' sub-title 'Roads,' to be designated as sections 278
to 290, both inclusive, and to revive sections 1, 2, 13, 19, 20,
21, 22, 23 and 24 of article 25 of the Code of Public General
Laws, title 'County Commissioners,' as repealed by chapter
346 of the Acts of 1900, so far as last named said sections of
the Code of Public General Laws apply to Prince George's
county;' and further, to repeal and re-enact with amendments
sections 285, 290 and 292 of said Act, being chapter 249 of
the Acts of 1906.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 284 of chapter 249 of the Acts of 1906, the
title of which Act is hereinbefore stated in the title of this
Act, be and the same is hereby repealed.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That sections 285, 290 and 292 of said chapter
249 of the Acts of 1906, the title of which Act is hereinbefore
stated in the title of this Act, be and the same are hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as fol-
lows:
SEC. 285. In the building or repairing of all bridges of
said county, the cost of which shall be two hundred dollars or
more, the said Highways Commissioners shall advertise in one
or more newspapers in said county, and give such other adver-
tisement as they may deem necessary, stating the place where
such bridge is to be built or repaired, with specifications and
plans of such bridges, and the materials to be used, asking
sealed proposals for building or repairing such bridges, which
shall be received by said Highway Commission until a day
named in said advertisement, and then that said bids shall be
publicly opened; provided, however, that nothing herein shall
