944 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAPTER 238.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 6 of
chapter 79 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland,
passed at its January session, 1908, entitled An Act to repeal
and re-enact with amendments chapter 631 of the Acts of
1902, entitled An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments
chapter 257 of the Acts of 1900, entitled An Act to repeal and
re-enact with amendments chapter 102 of the Acts of 1894, en-
titled An Act to re-incorporate the town of Hyattsville,
Prince George's county, Maryland, and to create therein a gov-
erning body of the name and style of the Mayor and Common
Council, and to repeal and re-enact with amendments sections
14 and 22 of chapter 631 of the Acts of 1902, title being An
Act to amend the corporate charter of the town of Hyatts-
ville.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 6 of chapter 79 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, passed at its January session 1908, en-
titled An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments chapter
631 of the Acts of 1902, entitled An Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments chapter 257 of the Acts of 1900, entitled An
Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments chapter 102 of the
Acts of 1894, entitled An Act to re-incorporate the town of
Hyattsville, Prince George's county, Maryland, and to create
therein a governing body of the name and style of the Mayor
and Common Council, and to repeal and re-enact chapter 113 of
the laws of 1906, entitled An Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments sections 14 and 22 of chapter 631 of the Acts of
1902, title being An Act to amend the corporate charter of the
town of Hyattsville, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted so as to read as follows:

SEC. 6. The first election hereunder shall be held at such places
as the present Mayor and Common Council of Hyattsville shall
designate, after at least seven days' public notice of the same, given
by them, and three judges and clerks to conduct same shall be
designated and appointed by them at least two days prior
thereto, in each of said wards, and at said first election, and at
all elections hereafter, which shall be held upon notice and
under authority of the Mayor and Common Council. The polls
shall be kept open at such places as that body may designate
from two o'clock P. M. to seven o'clock P. M., of the day of
election, when they shall be closed, and the ballots publicly
counted, and the said judges shall, within two days after the
election, make a true and correct return of the same under their
hands, to be addressed and transmitted to the Mayor, who shall
