80 ' LAWS OF MARYLAND.

passing sentence upon such persons may in its discretion pass
an order directing the board of managers of the said House of
Correction to allot and pay over to the wife, minor child or
minor children, or to such person or persons on behalf of said
wife, minor child or minor children as the court in its said
order may direct; the whole or such part as the court may
specify of the earnings of the labor of such persons so sen-
tenced, which the said board of managers under the provisions
of Section 473 of this Article otherwise would or might allot
and pay to such persons so sentenced at the time of his release;
provided, that the said court in its order may likewise direct
and specify the time or times when such allotment and pay-
ment shall be made, and whether the same shall be paid weekly,
monthly or otherwise; and provided further, that the court
in its discretion may modify, amend or rescind such order in
whole or part at any time during the continuance of any sen-
tence.

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect upon the
date of its passage.

CHAPTER 319.

AN ACT to repeal Section 119 of Article 27 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Crimes and Punish-
ments, " sub-title "Fraud—Warehouse, Storage and Elevator
Receipts, " said section being numbered 194 of Article 27 of
the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland of 1904, and
to re-enact the same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 119 of Article 27 of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws of Maryland, title "Crimes and Punishments, " sub-
title "Fraud—Warehouse, Storage and Elevator Receipts, "
said section being numbered 194 of Article 27 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland of 1904, be and the same
hereby is repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to
read as follows:

194. No warehouseman or corporation or person whatso-
ever, having issued or caused to be issued, or having outstand-
ing and issued by any agent or officer of such person or corpo-
ration as aforesaid any receipt, acceptance of order or other
