of said State, and the said, the Mayor and Aldermen of Fred-
erick, may at any time provide by ordinance for the codification
or re-codification of such ordinance as have been passed or may
hereafter be passed by them, and for the printing of such codi-
fication or re-codification, and the printed copy thereof issued
by authority and under the sanction of the Mayor and Alder-
men of Frederick shall be legal evidence of the passage of such
ordinance and the contents thereof in any court of law or
equity in this State, or before any justice of the peace or
public official of said State.

SEC. 225B. All ordinances heretofore passed by the Mayor
and Aldermen of Frederick now in force, and not in conflict
with the provisions of the sub-title of this article, are continued
in force until the same are repealed and modified.

SEC. 270B. In addition to the powers conferred upon the
Mayor and Aldermen of Frederick, they shall have power to
regulate by ordinance, the building and maintenance of parapet
and fire walls, smoke flues, fire places, hot-air flues, boilers,
smokestacks, chimneys and stovepipes, and to have any such re-
moved, repaired or reconstructed whenever in the judgment of
the Mayor and Aldermen of Frederick the same may be
dangerous to or menace the property wherein such struc-
tures are, or any adjacent or contiguous property, and
the expense of alteration, removal, repairing or recon-
structing when done by the corporate authorities shall
be a lien on the property where such removal, repairs
or reconstruction is done. They shall have power to
provide for the entry into and examination of all dwellings,
lots, yards, enclosures and buildings, cars and vehicles of every
description, to ascertain their condition for health, cleanliness
and safety, and they shall have power to remove or to require
the owner or owners of any buildings, walls or structures that
are or may become dangerous to remove them or put them in
a safe condition, at the expense of the owner or owners. To
provide for and regulate the same construction and inspection
and repairing of all public buildings within the city, and regu-
late the repairs of any buildings already erected or hereafter to
be erected in said city.

SEC. 270C. The Mayor and Aldermen of Frederick may also
by ordinance provide for the construction of opening, enlarg-
ing or straightening of any sewer or drain, public or private
property, and shall have power to establish such a sewerage
system as may be necessary for the proper drainage of said
city, which may be most conductive to the health and sanita-
tion of said city, and shall have power to pass all regulations
