said weir or net may be set or fished, and it shall be unlawful to
set or fish weirs closer than two hundred yards of each other
in the waters of the Transquakin River and Chicacomico River,
and it shall also be unlawful in the waters of Fishing Bay,
south of a line drawn from Blackwater Point to Irish Creek, to
set any weir more than four hundred yards from shore, or to set
any line of gill nets or weirs closer to each other than four hun-
dred yards, or to set any row of gill nets more than four hun-
dred yards in length.
SEC. 185D. That any person who may violate the provisions
of the preceding sections shall, upon conviction thereof, be sub-
ject to a fine of not less than $25.00, and not more than $50.00
for each and every offense.
SEC. 185E. Any person who shall unlawfully take fish from
the nets or weirs belonging to any person than himself in the
waters aforesaid shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon
conviction thereof be fined not less than $100 for each and every
violation.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all laws inconsistent with
this Act be and the same are hereby repealed to the extent of
such inconsistency; provided, that nothing in this section or
sections 185C and D shall affect any prosecution now pending
for violation of the existing laws of the State, or for offense
against the same committed before the passage of this Act, and
the same shall apply to the Chicacomico River.
SEC. 3. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 30.
AN ACT to repeal section 330 of article 10 of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Maryland, entitled "Dorchester County,"
sub-title "Hurlock," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments, giving the Commissioners the power to grant permits
and franchises and to change the rate of taxation.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 330 of article 10 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, entitled "Dorchester County," sub-title
"Hurlock," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments, to read as follows:
SEC. 330. The Commissioners shall have full power to make
