of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon con-
viction thereof shall be liable to the penalties prescribed by
Section 157o of this Act. The Insurance Commissioner of this
State shall furnish stamps for the purpose herein prescribed at
a cost not to exceed two dollars for each stamp, to be paid by
all such authorized companies, associations, firms or corpora-
tions.
SEC. 157H. Provided nothing herein contained shall prevent
any mutual insurance company or association which pays divi-
dends to policy holders on which return, premiums in whole or
part to policy holders from issuing policies, insuring and in-
specting property, and adjusting losses in this State; and the
provisions of this Act shall not apply to such companies or
associations.
SEC. 157I. Immediately upon the passage of this Act the said
Insurance Commissioner shall have a copy thereof published in
one or more daily newspapers published in Baltimore city and
one newspaper published in each of the counties of the State of
Maryland.

CHAPTER 385.
AN ACT to repeal Section 99 of Article 23 of the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws, title "Corporations, " sub-title "General
Regulations, " as enacted by Chapter 118 of the Acts of 1906,
and to re-enact the same with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 99 of Article 23 of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted to
read as follows:
SEC. 99. In case any corporation, now or hereafter doing
business in this State, shall refuse or neglect to make the
deposit with the State Treasurer, as hereinbefore provided for
in this article, the said Treasurer shall immediately cause to be
published on three consecutive days in two daily newspapers,
one published in Baltimore city, and one published in the city
or county wherein said corporation has or should have its prin-
cipal office, a notice informing the public that such corporation
has not complied with the law, and is therefore conducting
business without legal authority so to do. And the cost of pub-
lishing such notices shall be paid by the corporation named in
the notice. The Treasurer shall also promptly report the facts
in any such case to the Attorney General, who shall thereupon
