SEC. 3. Be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 173.

AN ACT to repeal section 768 of article 4 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, as repealed and re-enacted by the Act of 1902,
chapter 492, and to re-enact the same with amendments.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 768, article 4 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, as repealed and re-enacted by the Act of 1902, chapter
492, be and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to
read as follows:

SEC. 768. Each of said matrons and substitute matrons, when
employed, shall receive a salary of $15.00 per week, and the
superintendent of matrons the salary of $20.00 per week, to be
paid by the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, and it shall
be included in the annual estimate of expenses by said Board of
Police Commissioners, certified to the Mayor and City Council
of Baltimore.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

Approved March 30, 1908.

CHAPTER 218.

AN ACT to add an additional section to article 4 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "City of Baltimore,"
to follow section 777 and to be known as section 777A.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That an additional section be added to article 4 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, to follow section 777,
to be known as section 777A, and read as follows:

777A. That all persons heretofore retired under the provis-
ions of the preceding section who now receive a pension of nine
dollars per week, shall hereafter receive a pension of ten dollars
per week, payable in the same manner and at the same time
as provided by said preceding section.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
