said section 6 headed "Licenses."
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new paragraph be and the same is hereby added to
section 6 of article 4, title "City of Baltimore," of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, sub-title "General Powers," to
be headed "Libraries," and to come in immediately before the
paragraph of said section 6, headed "Licenses," and to read as
follows: Libraries—The Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
is authorized and empowered to appropriate and pay over such
sum or sums, as it shall from time to time deem proper, for the
equipment, maintenance or support of the Enoch Pratt Free
Library of Baltimore City, or of any other free public library
in Baltimore city, or of the branches of the Enoch Pratt Li-
brary of Baltimore City, or of any other free public library in
Baltimore city, provided, that the title or ownership of the
property of every such library or branch is vested in the said
Mayor and City Council of Baltimore.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 511.
AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
to contract with the Children's Playground Association of
Baltimore City, a body corporate, for the maintenance of
playgrounds in Baltimore city, and to authorize the transfer
to the said body corporate by the Children's Playground As-
sociation (Eighth Division, United Women of Maryland), of
its rights and interests under the terms of a contract made
with the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, be and it
is hereby authorized and empowered to enter into an agreement
with the Children's Playground Association of Baltimore City,
body corporate, for the maintenance of children's play-
grounds in the city of Baltimore, for such length of time and
upon such terms as the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
may deem advantageous.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That any contract or appropria-
tion heretofore made or provided for by the Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore in pursuance of the provisions of chapter
201 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, session
