or times, what part thereof, if any, shall be paid by the county;
and how much thereof shall be paid by said railroad company,
and the contract made by said County Commissioners with
said company under 328c of this sub-title shall contain an
agreement on the part of the said company to pay such part
of any such claim or claims as said Commissioners shall so
determine to be paid by said company.
329. The Register of Wills for Baltimore county shall keep
a general alphabet or index to the record of the wills, and of
such other matters recorded in said office as the public con-
venience may require, and shall be entitled to demand and
receive from the party for whom the service is performed ten
cents for each will or other matter entered therein.
330. A certificate, under the hand and seal of the Register
of Wills for said county, that it appears by the records in his
office that letters testamentary or of administration, or of
collection have been granted, shall be as good and available
in any case whatever and to all intents and purposes as the
original letters testamentary, or of administration, or of
collection, duly granted, would be if exhibited.
331. He may make searches of and take office copies from
the books of records, dockets and minutes of proceedings of
the Orphans' Court of Baltimore City in all cases where the
same are required in relation to estates where the deceased
was, at the time of his death, a resident of Baltimore county,
without the city of Baltimore, and may receive the usual fees
therefor.
332. The County Commissioners of Baltimore County, in
addition to their other powers and duties under the law, shall
by virtue of their office be and constitute the "Highways Com-
mission of Baltimore County, " by which name they may sue
and be sued in the courts of this State in all matters pertain-
ing to the highways and bridges over which they are given
control by the provisions of this Act. It shall be the duty of
each of the said County Commissioners immediately upon the
passage of this Act, and thereafter at the time of qualifying
as County Commissioner, in addition to the usual oath, to
severally take and subscribe to an oath before the clerk of the
Circuit Court for Baltimore County, that he will, to the best
of his skill and ability, diligently and faithfully execute his
duties as Highway Commissioner, and that he will not, during
the time he remains such, become pecuniarily interested in any
contract for work done or material provided for the roads or
bridges of Baltimore county, nor will he directly or indirectly
receive any pecuniary profit or reward as such, except as pro-
