money disbursed shall be entered under such heading as will
indicate the purpose to which it was applied, and at the close
of each year the ledger shall be balanced by the transfer of
the aggregate amount under each heading to a single page of
the ledger, which shall thus show the amount of money
received by the county from all sources, and the entire amount
expended for all purposes during the year; and a correct tran-
script of the aforesaid amount, attested by his signature,
shall at the close of each year be furnished to the County
Commissioners.
96. All documents, books and papers belonging to his
office are declared to be the property and records of Balti-
more county, and at all time shall be subject to the exami-
nation of the grand jury and County Commissioners, or of
any taxpayer of said county; and it shall be the duty of the
grand jury at each session to appoint from their own body
a committee to examine the books and accounts of the said
Treasurer, and to report to the Circuit Court the result of
such examination.
97. The County Commissioners shall appoint and furnish
the Treasurer an office in the Court House for the transac-
tion of business, and the said office shall be open for that pur-
pose each day of the year, Sundays and legal holidays
excepted, from nine o'clock A. M. until three o'clock P. M.
from the first day of November until the first day of April,
and from nine o'clock A. M. until four o'clock P. M. for the
remainder of the year.
98. The fees of coroners in Baltimore county shall be as
follows: For each separate coroner's inquest held by any
coroner or justice of the peace acting as coroner, four dollars
and seventeen cents; for a coffin, two dollars and fifty cents;
and for digging grave and burying body, two dollars and
fifty cents.
98A. The coroners of said county shall hold an inquest
over all persons found dead in said county, only, where the
cause of such death shall not be clearly known as accidental or
in the course of nature.
99. The County Commissioners may allow to any coroner,
over and above the fees herein allowed, such additional sum for
any business as they may think proper.
100. No juror summoned on a coroner's inquest in said
county shall receive any compensation.
