Commissioners is hereby directed to pay to the contractor or
contractors employed by the said building committees in accord-
ance with the terms of their contract or contracts upon the
warrant of said building committees such sums or sum as shall
be certified in such warrant that said contractor or contractors
are entitled to in the performance of said contract or contracts;
and shall pay upon the warrant of said building committees the
cost of plans and specifications of the work proposed to be done,
the cost of building lots and all other expenses that said build-
ing committees may properly have incurred in the discharge of
their duty, and no part of said proceeds of said sale of said
bonds shall be paid out by the said treasurer, except on the
warrant of said building committees.
SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That the Board of County School
Commissioners of Anne Arundel County is hereby authorized
and directed within a reasonable time to sell at public auction
for cash, Schoolhouse No. 2 and the lot of ground on which the
same is located, in the Fifth Election District, and Schoolhouse
No. 3 and the lot of ground on which the same is located, in the
Fifth. Election District, and to turn the proceeds into the gen-
eral school fund.
SEC. 14. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 418.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact sections 229 and 231 of chapter
615 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, session
of 1894, entitled "An Act to repeal section 223 of article 2 of
Code of Public Local Laws, title 'Anne Arundel County, '
sub-title 'Treasurer, ' " as enacted by the Acts of 1894, chapter
1, and to repeal sections 229 and 235 and 236A of said article,
as enacted by the Acts of 1890, chapter 535, and to repeal
sections 224 and 225, 227, 228, 230, 231, 232, 233, 234 and 236,
providing for the election of a County Treasurer for said
county by the qualified voters of said county, and defining
the duties and regulating the fees of the treasurer and
officers employed by him, and to re-enact said sections from
section 222 to section 236, inclusive, with amendments; and
to repeal and re-enact section 230 of chapter 283 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland, session of 1898, en-
titled "An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments sec-
tion 230 of article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
