poration of the city of Annapolis in order to enter the city of
Annapolis and use the streets. That any person violating the
provisions of this Act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction therefor, shall be subjected to a fine not

exceeding five dollars and cost of prosecution.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all licenses granted under
the provisions of this Act shall be dated on the first day of
June, 1908, and on the same day each year thereafter, and shall
be good for one year only.

CHAPTER 411.

AN ACT to provide for the appointment of a Board of Road
Commissioners for the town of Eastport, and to provide for
the levying of a tax for road purposes on the property in
said town.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel county
shall, at their regular meeting in May, nineteen hundred and
eight, or as soon thereafter as possible, and biennially there-
after, appoint five persons, who shall be registered voters and
taxpayers residing within the said town. The said commis-
sioners shall hold their office for a period of two years and until
their successors shall be appointed. They shall, within ten
days after their appointment, qualify by taking the oath pre-
scribed by section 6 of article 1 of the Constitution of the State,
before the clerk of the Circuit Court of Anne Arundel county.
The said commissioners shall serve without pay and be subject
to removal at the pleasure of the County Commissioners, and
the said County Commissioners shall have the power to fill all
vacancies caused by resignation, death, refusal to act or
otherwise.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the town of Eastport shall
include all the land covered and embraced in the plat of Horn
Point, now called Eastport, made by John Duvall, Esquire, the
30th day of September, 1868, and also the lots abutting on the
west side of First street, laid down on the said plat, and the
improvements thereon.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That at the time of making the
annual levy, the said County Commissioners shall levy on the
