County Commissioners, or a majority thereof, as the case
may be.
SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That said corporation, within
the scope of all the purposes hereinbefore mentioned, shall have
and enjoy, besides those powers and privileges in the Act par-
ticularly enumerated, all other general powers, provisions and
privileges conferred by the general incorporation laws of this
State, upon companies duly incorporated under the same, and
shall be subject to the general regulations in such law, except
in so far as altered by the provisions of this Act; provided,
that nothing in this Act shall be construed to authorize the
company to acquire any property by condemnation except that
which shall be necessary for the construction of the railroad,
and in every other case the said acquisition shall be by pur-
chase.
SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That for the term of five years
after the completion of said railway, or the opening thereof
for traffic or travel, the real and personal property of said cor-
poration and its stocks, revenue, tolls and income, shall be
subject to State taxation only; and after said term of five
years the same shall be subject to taxation for State, county
and municipal purposes.
SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That the streets, lanes or alleys
of the city of Salisbury, Wicomico county, shall not be used by
the said company without first obtaining the permission of the
Mayor and City Council of the same, nor of other incorporated
towns in Wicomico county, without first obtaining the consent
of the Town Commissioners if any they be.
SEC. 10A. Be it enacted. That nothing herein contained
shall be so construed as to authorize said corporation to exer-
cise any powers whatsoever in Baltimore city or Baltimore
county.
SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 414.
AN ACT to repeal section 1 of chapter 441 of the Acts of 1906,
entitled An Act to incorporate the Audit Company ,of
Maryland, and to re-enact the same with an amendment.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 1 of chapter 441 of the Acts of 1906, entitled
"An Act to incorporate the Audit Company of Maryland" be
