for the fiscal year 1909, and the like sum of fifteen hundred
dollars for the fiscal year 1910.

43. To the Upper Marlboro Academy, the sum of five hun-
dred dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and the like sum of five
hundred dollars for the fiscal year 1910.

44. To St. John's College. Annapolis, the sum of ten thou-
sand dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and the further sum of ten
thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1910.

45. To the McDonough Institute, La Plata, the sum of four
thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and the like sum of
four thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1910; provided, how-
ever, that the said McDonough Charity School, a corporation,
shall provide twenty free scholarships and six tuition scholar-
ships to students of Charles county, who shall be appointed by
the School Commissioners of said Charles county, with the
approval in writing of the Senator for that county. And be it
further enacted, That the Treasurer of the State shall upon the
warrant of the Comptroller of the State Treasury, pay such
sums of money, herein appropriated, for the object and pur-
poses hereinbefore specified, to or upon the order of the trus-
tees of the McDonough Charity School, a corporation; pro-
vided, however, that before any portion of the said money shall
be so paid, the trustees of the said McDonough Charity School
shall file with the Treasurer of the State, a bond with surety
to be approved by him, in the penalty double the amount of the
aggregate sum herein appropriated, conditioned for the per-
formance of the condition hereinbefore imposed as to furnish-
ing said scholarships.

46. To St. Martha's Episcopal Home, the sum of one thou-
sand dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and the like sum of one
thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1910.

47. To New Windsor College of Carroll County, the sum of
five hundred dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and the like sum
of five hundred dollars for the fiscal year 1910.

48. To the Universal Progressive School for Orphan and
Destitute Colored Children of Baltimore City, the sum of two
hundred and fifty dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and the like
sum of two hundred and fifty dollars for the fiscal year 1910.

49. To the Florence Crittenden Mission, the sum of one thou-
sand dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and the like sum of one
thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1910.

50. To the Lying-in Hospital of the Maternite of Maryland,
the sum of three thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1909, and
the like sum of three thousand dollars for the fiscal year 1910.
