should the said County Commissioners, or any person having
charge of the bonds or coupons, suffer the same, or any part
thereof to be reissued after payment, the party or parties so
offending shall be deemed guilty of a crime, and on conviction
thereof shall be liable to the same punishment as is provided
in section 72 of article 27 of the Code of Public General Laws
of Maryland for embezzlement, and shall in addition be held
liable for an amount equal to that of the coupon bond reissued
and the costs of the suit.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the County Commissioners
of Worcester county shall annually levy, the year preceding, at
the regular levy, upon the assessable property of said county, a
tax sufficient to pay the interest due on such bonds as shall be
issued under the provisions of this Act; and in the year nine-
teen hundred and thirty-two they shall levy the sum of two
thousand dollars to meet and pay the first maturing bonds in
nineteen hundred and thirty-three, and thereafter two thousand
dollars each year to meet and pay the bonds as they shall be-
come due; said taxes to be collected as other taxes are col-
lected ; and the said bonds shall be exempt from all county and
municipal taxation; and coupons for interest thereon shall be
received in payment of county taxes.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the said bonds authorized
to be issued by this Act shall be sold by the said County Com-
missioners of Worcester county to the best advantage and for
not less than the par value thereof, and any accrued interest
thereon, either at public or private sale, at such time and upon
such notice as said Board of County Commissioners may deem
expedient, and that the money arising from the sale of said
bonds shall be deposited in the First National Bank of Snow
Hill, Maryland) and kept as a separate fund for the purpose of
this Act, and the county treasurer or the clerk to the Board
of County Commissioners shall keep a full registry of the said
bonds, with the names of the purchasers and the amount rea-
lized on the sale thereof, and the date of issue, the date of sale
and the date of maturity of the several bonds; and when re-
deemed the said bonds shall at once be cancelled on the face
thereof and on the book registry and not again issued.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted. That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
