1042 LAWS OF MARYLAND.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 318 of article 22 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "Washington County," sub-title "Liquors and In-
toxicating Drinks," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted so as to read as follows:

318. It shall not be lawful for any person or persons,
licensed or unlicensed, directly or indirectly, to barter, sell,
exchange, trade or deal in any kind of spirituous or fermented
liquors or intoxicating drinks of any kind at any place within
that section of election district No. 14, in Washington county,
bounded as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of
the line between Maryland and Pennsylvania and the bound-
ary line betwen Frederick and Washington counties, and run-
ning with the Pennsylvania line west to Pen-Mar station, on
the Western Maryland railroad; then following the avenue
from Pen-Mar station through Pen-Mar park to the High Rock
road; then with said High Rock road in a southwesterly direc-
tion to High Rock; then following the air line path from High
Rock in.an easterly direction to Mt. Quirauk; then continuing
on in an easterly direction from Mt. Quirauk to the point of
intersection of the boundary line between Frederick and Wash-
ington counties with the road leading from Sabillasville to
Rouzersville, Pennsylvania, and then with the said boundary
line between Frederick and Washington counties in north-
easterly direction to the place of beginning, or at any place in
this State within one-quarter of a mile from any part of said
High Rock road, between said Pen-Mar park and High Rock, or
within one-quarter of a mile from any building at High Rock
or Pen-Mar station, or to place or distribute any signs, cards
or devices inviting to the purchase, exchange or barter of
spirituous or fermented liquors or intoxicating drinks, or to
solicit the purchase of the same within the limits of the one-
quarter of a mile aforesaid.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
May 1, 1908.

CHAPTER 380.

AN ACT to repeal sections 320, 321, 322, 323, 324 and 325 of
article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws of the State of
Maryland, entitled "Washington County," sub-title "Liquors
and Intoxicating Drinks," as amended by the Acts of 1896,
chapter 159, and the Acts 1898, chapter 214; and to enact
the following sections 320, 321, 322, 323, 324, 325, 325A,
