CHAPTER 627.
AN ACT to repeal section 195 of article twenty-two of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Washington
County," sub-title "Hagerstown," and to re-enact the same
with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section one hundred and ninety-five of article twen-
ty-two of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
"Washington County," sub-title "Hagerstown," be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
195. The Mayor and Council shall annually levy on the
assessable property of the town all needful taxes for general
purposes and such further sums that are now or may hereafter
be authorized by law for the liquidation of indebtedness; pro-
vided that not 'less than ten cents of the sum so levied for
general purposes be appropriated to condemning, laying out,
making, cleaning, altering, changing, repairing of streets and
alleys, and drainage; the said levy shall not be made in gross,
but shall designate the particular heads for which it is to be
expended; such taxes, when levied, shall be a lien upon property
as now provided by law, and shall be collected as State and
county taxes are collected, unless the Mayor and Council shall
adopt some other mode by ordinance for the collection of the
same.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 87.
AN ACT to add three new sections to article 22 of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Washington County," sub-title
"Jurors," providing for the selection and drawing of jurors
in said county, said section to follow section 264, and to
be designated as sections 264A, 264B and 264C.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That three new sections be and the same are hereby
added to article 22 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Washington County," sub-title "Jurors," to follow section 264
and to be designated as sections 264A, 264B and 264c, and to
read as follows:
264A. When selecting the list of two hundred names for
Washington county, as provided in section seven of article 51
