SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

Approved April 6, 1908.

CHAPTER 250.

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Somerset
county to apply certain receipts from licenses issued to per-
sons residing in certain districts of Somerset county engaged
in catching crabs to issue bonds for the purpose of erecting
a building in the town of Crisfield, to be known as the Cris-
field High School Building, for equipping and furnishing
the same, to be used for the public schools of the said county,
-and to levy and collect taxes for the payment of the said
bonds, and to authorize the purchase of a lot for the same
by the Board of School Commissioners of Somerset county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That for the purpose of erecting a building on such lot
as the Board of School Commissioners of Somerset county may
now own or purchase, and for the purpose of properly fur-
nishing and equipping the said building, the County Commis-
sioners of Somerset county be and they are hereby authorized
to issue bonds as hereinafter directed to be signed by the presi-
dent of the Board of County Commissioners, and countersigned
by the clerk of the said board of Somerset county, with the
seal of the County Commissioners attached.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the amount of the said bonds
shall not exceed in the aggregate twenty thousand dollars
($20,000), to be issued in denominations of five hundred dol-
lars ($500) each, on the faith and credit of Somerset county,
and bearing interest at a rate not exceeding five per cent, per
annum, payable semi-annually; the said bonds to be made
payable in equal series of one, two, three, four, five, six, seven,
eight, nine and ten years, and to commence the redemption of
the same on the first day of January in the year 1910. Said
bonds shall be numbered and redeemed as numbered, commen-
cing with number one, redeeming four bonds each year, com-
mencing with the year 1910, as aforesaid, the said Board of
County Commissioners shall apply in each and every year all
proceeds or sums of money received by said board from the
clerk of the Circuit Court and arising from licenses issued
by said clerk to persons resident in Crisfield, Asbury and Law-
son's election districts of said county, to engage in catching
crabs in the waters of said county, and the Board of County
