LLOYD LOWNDES, ESQUIRE, GOVERNOR:
amend, correct, alter, and change the assessment of the prop-

erty of the citizens of the corporation, and to add to or reduce
the valuation of the property, real or personal, of the citizens,
or any portion thereof ; and thereupon the taxes hereinbefore
authorized shall be levied on such new, revised or changed
valuation ; and a right of appeal from such assessment by the
commissioners or assessors shall be had to the Board of Alder-
men, whose duty it shall be, under such terms as may be pre-
scribed by the corporate authorities, to examine into the
merits of such. appeal, and their decision in the premises shall
be final ; and the assessment so amended and corrected, shall
be applicable to all taxes authorized under the authority of the
corporation.

from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 2.

AN ACT to repeal Chapter five hundred and forty-four of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at
the January Session, in the year eighteen hundred and
ninety-four, entitled "An Act to add new and additional sec-
tions to Article eleven of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title 'Frederick County,' sub-title 'Frederick,'
relating to elections in Frederick City," and to enact in. lieu
thereof certain new and additional sections relating to the
registration of voters and to elections in Frederick City
aforesaid, to be added to said Article eleven of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Frederick County,"
sub-title "Frederick," to follow Section 270 A of said Article,
and to be known as Sections 270 B, 270 C, 270 D, 270 E,
270 F, 270 G, 270 H, 2701, 270 J, 270 K, 270 L, 270 M,
270 N, 270 O, 270 P, 270 Q, 270 R, 270 S, 270 T, 270 U,
270 V, 270 W, 270 X, 270 Y, 270 Z, 270 A A, 270 B B,
270 C C, 270 D D, 270 E E, 270 F F, 270 G G, 270 H H,
270 I I, 270 J J, 270 K K, 270 L L, 270 M M, 270 N N,
270 O O, 270 P P, 270 Q Q, 270 R R, 270 S S, 270 T T,
