SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That a new section be and the same hereby is
added to Article two of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
''Anne Arundel County," under the new sub title "Gaming,"
to be designated as section 276 of said Article, and to read as
follows :
276. It shall be unlawful for any person within the limits of

Anne Arundel county to bet or wager money or anything of
value at the game commonly called "Crap," or at any other
game of any character whatsoever that is or can be played
with dice. Any person offending against any provisions of
this section shall upon conviction thereof be fined not more
than twenty-five dollars, or shall be imprisoned in jail for a
period of not more than six months or shall be both so fined
and imprisoned in the discretion of the court.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 273.
AN ACT to amend Article seventy-seven" of the Code of
Public General Laws, title "Public Education," by adding
thereto a further chapter, number 20, entitled "Manual Train-
ing and Industrial Schools.
WHEREAS, The establish ment of well-conducted and liberally-
