CHAPTER 11.

AN ACT to amend the charter of the Arundell Club of Balti-
more City, a body corporate, duly incorporated under the
the General Laws of the State of Marviand.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by. the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the name of the Arundell Club of Baltimore
City, a body corporate, duly incorporated by certificate recorded
under the provisions of the General Incorporation Laws of the
State of Maryland, in the Charter Records of Baltimore city,
on the 18th day of January, 1898, in Liber R. O. No. 36, folio
252, &c., and whose object is create and maintain for women a

 

centre for organized work and for social and intellectual inter-
course, and for that purpose to acquire and provide a club-
house in the city of Baltimore, be and the same is hereby
changed to the The Arundell Club of Baltimore, Maryland,
and by that name the said body corporate shall have perpetual
succession, and that the number of directors of the said corpora-
tion, be and the same is hereby increased to eighteen, who
shall be elected by the members of the body corporate and
from which board of directors the said members of the body
corporate shall annually elect a president, two vice-presidents,
a recording secretary, a corresponding secretary and a treas-
urer, who shall be the officers of the corporation, and the
charter of said body corporate, so recorded in Charter Records
of Baltimore city, is hereby amended so as to conform in all
respects to the provisions of this Act, but the said corporation
is hereby authorized in its discretion, at any time or times,
hereafter by vote of a majority of all of its members, to in-
crease or decrease the number of its directors and officers
when and as it may see fit.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the constitution,
by-laws, rules and regulations of the voluntary association

known as the Arundell Club, including the regulations relative
to the terms of office and the times of election of directors,
shall be the constitution, by-laws, rules and regulations for the
government of the said corporation until the same shall be by
it regularly repealed or altered, and that the present officers and
directors of the said voluntary association known as the
Arundell Club, including the twelve directors for the first year
designated in the certificate of incorporation of said body
corporate so recorded in the Charter Records of Baltimore
city, shall be the officers and directors of the said corporation
until the regular time for the election of officers and directors
thereof prescribed by its constitution and by-laws.
