LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Public Works, the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Company, and
the trustees under the mortgages of said company, change the
physical construction of said canal along the route thereof
next above its dam, but shall in no event so interfere with its
present construction as to render the navigation thereof more
difficult or expensive, and shall have the right to cross with its
power transmission lines the said canal and other properties of
the said canal company in such a manner as not to interfere
with the traffic upon or the practical operation of said canal.

Effective.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 198.
AN ACT to repeal Chapter 462 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January session
of 1892, entitled "An Act to add a new section to Arti-
cle 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws," title "City of
Baltimore," under the new sub title " Bills of Exchange and
Promissory Notes," to come in said Article alphabetically
in proper place, and to be designated as Section 120 A, and
to re-enact the same with amendments.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That chapter 462 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland, passed at the January session of 1892, entitled

"An Act to add a new section to Article 4 of the Code of
Public Local Laws," title "City of Baltimore," under the new
sub-title "Bills of Exchange and Promissory Notes," to come
in said article alphabetically, in proper place, and to be desig-
nated as section 120 A, be and the same is hereby repealed and
re-enacted with amendments, and new sections to follow in
proper order, so as to read as follows :
120 A. Any bill of exchange, bank check, draft or promis-
