LAWS OF MARYLAND.

CHAPTER 155.
AN ACT to lay out and establish a new election district in
Frederick County, out of Frederick Election District No. 2,
to be called " Braddock District," or "Election District No.
24."

New election
district.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That a new election district be laid out and established
out of a portion of Frederick Election District No. 2 of Fred-
erick county, the said new election district to be known and
called by the name of " Braddock District," or " Election
District No. 24."

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the boundaries of eaid Brad-
dock district or election district No. 24 shall be as follows :

Boundaries.

Beginning on the Catoctin mountain, at a point where Jeffer-
son district or election district No. 14 and Middletown dis-
trict or election No. 3 join on the boundary of Frederick dis-
trict or election district No. 2 ; thence running easterly with
the line of " Ballenger district " No. 23 to the southeast
corner of the Mount Philip farm house ; thence northeasterly
with the line of the said " Ballenger district," at the southeast
corner of Frederick Orland's dwelling house ; thence north-
erly following the road of the said Frederick Orland to the
public road known as "Butterfly Lane;" thence northeast-
wardly by a straight line to the Baltimore and Fredericktown
turnpike road at the entrance to a private road or lane leading
into the premises of W. W. Mines, on said turnpike ; thence
by and with the middle of said lane northwardly in a straight
line to a point one hundred yards northeast of said W. W.
Mines' residence ; thence from said point due north by a
straight line until it intersects the southern outlines of Tusca-
rora election district No. 21 ; thence by and with said outline
westwardly to where it intersects the dividing line between
Middletown and Frederick district, aforesaid ; thence by and
with the line or lines between said districts to the place of
beginning. The territory within these boundaries, to be known
as " Braddock district," or " Election district No. 24," as
aforesaid.

Place of hold-
ing elections.

SEC. 3. And be enacted, That the place of holding elections
in said "Braddock district," or "Election district No. 24,"
shall be Braddock.
SEC. 4 And be it enacted, That there shall be appointed for
said district by the proper authorities one justice of the peace
and one constable, and also registers of voters and judges and
