Enjoyment of
estates, etc

personal, and mixed, as may be obtained by the investment of
their capital stock, and al! other moneys or funds that may
come into their possession in the course of their dealings and
business, and the same to sell, grant, mortgage, lease and dis-
pose of at pleasure, and to execute, acknowledge and deliver
all deeds and other instruments of writing concerning the
same ; provided, however, that the said real estate so to be held
by them shall be only that occupied as their office and place
of business, not exceeding in value one hundred thousand
dollars, and such as may come into their possession in satis-
faction of a debt due to them upon mortgage, decree or judg-
ment.
SEC. 14. And be it enacted, That the president, vice-presi-

dent and directors of the corporation hereby created, shall have
power to enact and adopt such rules, regulations and by-laws
for the government and management of the affairs of said cor-
poration, as they shall deem advantageous to the interest
thereof ; provided, the same be not contrary to the law of the
land.

Repeal.
|
SEO. 15. And be it enacted, That the General Assembly
reserves the right to repeal, alter or amend this Act at its
pleasure.
|
Effective.
|
SEC. 16. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections
fifty three A, fifty-four, sixty, sixty-five, sixty-nine and
seventy-four of Article twenty-one of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Talbot County," sub-title "Easton."
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That sections fifty-three A, fifty-four, sixty, sixty-
five, sixty-nine and seventy-four of Article twenty-one of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "Talbot County," sub-title
"Easton," be and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted
so as to read as follows :
53 A. They shall have full power and control over the
streets, lanes and alleys of Easton, and may grant franchises
for the use of the same upon such terms as may be beneficial
to the interests of the town ; they may exact licenses from and
regulate the use thereof by persons for the sale, barter or
